Sorry that I have been so busy with other matters that taking
photos has been on the back burner.
Yesterday I dove in to the end-of-life document and planning process
with a local gringa lawyer affiliated with an Ecuadorian law firm. Having 2 countries, property, children, local
laws, etc, all impacting choices that have to be made, makes it a daunting
task. However, the nightmares that can
happen if we are not prepared in advance makes this worth the effort. I am really thankful that my ex, Bella, is helping to alleviate some of the pressure.
On top of that, we are looking to have another Oldies But Goodies
dance on the 28th so have also begun preparations for that again.
Then I have plans for Coopera meetings, volunteering for an art
walk, and probably going soon on a deep-sea fishing/whale-watching expedition, ....
so I have a lot of balls in the air.
We found some sour cream at SuperMaxi so I decided to make nachos
for supper. I had to fake a salsa of my
own starting with pizza sauce and tomatoes and it all turned out pretty darn
good. I ate so much I could hardly move
but I still had to walk the dogs before going to meet the Herederos biker boys
and girls.
The highlight of the night was getting my new club jacket which
cost a whole $21!! It is incredible to
get such a beautifully made, waterproof, windproof, reflective jacket for such
a price. I gotta tell you that it was
mighty warm.
Our ride tonight was in stages.
First we met some other bike group on Remigio Crespo before doing a stop at San Sebastian then a tour
of downtown. Then we headed south to Don
Bosco at Parque Iberia where some Cuban fellows make $1 burgers and sell 10c
glasses of pop…. Everybody was eating 2
or 3 burgers and I just stood back because I still couldn’t look at food.
I hope you enjoy the photos. That was the day's
excitement, Cheers,
Al
