Yesterday an electrical crew was installing 220V capable breakers, etc on the whole block in anticipation of the Government's desire for everyone to purchase Induction electric stoves. Fat chance that that will fly for long... If they try to eliminate the gas subsidies, there will be a major uproar as the poor cannot afford such expenses (us included).
We also had Mike & Lotis over for supper along with their Korean guest Joanne. It was funny because we had 5 people and everyone was a different nationality, Korea, Philippines, Canada, USA and Colombia... I had to go out and get another kilo of ribs and happened to finally spot some Oriental sweet sauce to combine with some BBQ sauce to make the sauce... Ummmm good...
Today I cleaned up and got ready to go on a night ride again with my biker gang... which is humourous because none of the scooters or motorcycles is more than 150cc. We again went to the blue church in Banos which is a favourite destination for the group because there is street food available there. This time, Mike, an American (yellow vest) was also along for the ride, and he has lived in Ecuador for 10 years.
The group mentioned that they intend to do a day ride to the Inca ruins at Ingapirca on Sunday Nov 29. That will be a long ride and Cristina will probably come along.
I also got a referral to a mechanic to install some extra road lights on Toxic for night driving.
I hope you enjoy the photos. That
was the day's excitement, Cheers, Al
