Trying to get one woman moving is one thing, but trying to get 3 women rolling is almost impossible.
We finally got off to Monay Shopping Mall and had a quick lunch at KFC. The we did a grocery buying trip to Coral and bought loads of veggies and stuff. So far I have been doing most of the cooking.
Then we caught the #13 downtown and made a quick pass-by of San Francisco church and clothing market, the flower market, stopped in the big cathedral, and ran into Santa Claus at Parque Calderon.
We were headed for the double-decker tour buses and I was a little shocked to see that they had raised their price from $5 to $8 a person, a 60% increase! I tried negotiating something better without success, so we balked and walked across the street to talk to the lady from the other tour company, who was not offering any better. The first bus was about to leave and the saleslady was anxious because they only had 3 people on the bus. I shot her a glance, she shrugged and called me over and conceded us a tour at $20 for the 4 of us.... Walking away is definitely the best negotiating tactic in this town..
Anyway this tour took a slightly different route than before and it was a nice ride to Turi where they told us we would have 30 minutes to wander around, but it was actually closer to 45 minutes.
I tried to take the women to La Vina for pizza but they wanted to go home to eat, then decided they wanted these street-meat skewers.........
I hope you enjoy the photos. That was the day's excitement, Cheers, Al
