Sunday November 10, 2013
We went early to Mall De Rio for the International Food Fair.  That was a smart move because the place was jammed by the scheduled opening time.  The food was fabulous!
Then we caught buses to the summit of Banos near the big church.  On the way I noticed the gate open to a place where I knew someone was storing some antique autos in an amazing place with Spanish arches, etc.  Little did we know that the old church down there was also on this property!
The main Banos church was also open so we got to enjoy the magnificent marble arches and columns before going down the mountain to one of the main Spas.
Hope you enjoy the photos.  That was the day's excitement,   Cheers, Al

They were letting people in the the International Food Fair an hour early

This dessert said "Eat Me"

That is one huge bowl of soup!

Maurice tried some "chancho" from the Ecuadorian booth

This is only 1/3 of the available seating

This is another 1/3 which was jammed by the time we left

We had to fight our way out

Antique cars on display in this amazing place

This church is even on this property

Antiques, windmill, statue, and even a Qantas helicopter!

There are two buildings like this!

I love these old relics

I love the building they are stored in!

This is a very old convertible

Boom!

Boom!  Again.

A view down the mountain of Banos

The main church with a soccer game on the side

The interior is breathtaking indeed

We were lucky to find it open

This side altar was popular

What a mesmerizing sight.

The Resurrection above the communion rail

Here is that side altar again

I don't know who was winning

These crosses are high to the left of the church

I did a little playing with this one

She was smiling away
