Being Friday the 13th, it rained all day, keeping us inside, which was probably a good thing.
I was up early to do chores so I could watch Olympic curling at 8:05am and was basically stuck in the recliner all day to watch more hockey and curling.
I would like to know who has hexed our #1 women curlers in the world, but Team Homan looks petrified out there, can't read the ice, can't make the usual great plays they are famous for... Unless they snap out of it, they will be out of the medals for sure..
The men's Team Jacobs however is now 3-0, making the shots and playing the way we know they can. They have one shaky player who blew the mixed doubles with his wife earlier, but maybe he will shape up too, soon... The other 3 players are carrying him...
Our Team Canada hockey team, with our Edmonton Oiler Connor McDavid leading the way, won 5-1 against another spunky team, the Swiss this time. They most certainly need to improve before they encounter the powerful American team. I can't say that I am too impressed with about 1/2 of that team right now. Too many "professionals" making rookie mistakes, and yet, our youngest player, Celebrini, is just 19 and is showing awesome puck sense...., and he is scoring....
We were supposed to have Wolf and Fabiola visit for ice cream today, but the cold (for them) and the rain has postponed this.
I just marked down times for Olympic events of curling and hockey I need to watch for the next 3 days... The other events are just fill-in fluff... I am not in favor of "sports" that rely on "style points" by judges, which always generate controversy.
The plan is to get at least one concrete ramp's finishing layer done tomorrow by the ex, Carlos...
We also need to get a set of windows repleced in a bedroom and add 3 to the outside storage room, the bodega...
