Friday, we had our workman Guillermo working on the spinach patch fence door and starting to build 3 concrete ramps in place of stairs to make it easier for walking without tripping and making it easier for moving stuff, especially wheelbarrow loads of sand and cement. They look scruffy now, but another fellow will come, likely Monday, to apply the nice topcoats.
I set up the Formuler IPTV I brought from Canada to an old LG TV, expecting to have to input the Wi-Fi info here, but it picked it up automatically, so now I have my comfortable TV available here, and it is also set up for Cristina to watch Spanish channels!!!
We went into Tulua to check several stores for a softer mattress, or mattress topper, for our King bed. It is almost impossible to get actual memory foam here. We went to about 6 different outlets, but one store promises to have a softer king mattress available next week.
But we did check out new TV's, because our old Hyundai piece of junk is headed for the scrap heap.. It did not take long to narrow it down to the best available nanotechnology for great picture quality and reliability, in spite of the distinct lack of connections at the rear for old technology inputs and outputs... We picked an LG QNED, newer and better than QLED or OLED models, 65", and had it delivered. It has voice control as well as Alexa, which is handy here.
We hoped it would fit on our old TV stand, but no, we had to join it to a similar height stand for now. I really don't want to put it up on the wall..
An adopter of two fostered dogs brought his dogs, Peggy and Tequila, for Cristina to watch while he travels.... so we have 15 dogs for a bit, and Tequila barks a lot, especially at me for some reason..
Saturday, after chores, I spent about 12 hours parked in front of the new LG, happily watching parts of about 4 NHL games, a Junior Hockey game, and 12 curling games..., over 12 hours..!!! It rained most of the day, so I was happy for the diversion...
I hope you enjoy the pictures. That was the day’s excitement.
