The workmen did not show up with the wire mesh to finish Cristina's backyard partitions, so it will be a day of rest...
I went out back and caught a little sun while trying to capture the elusive Tom Thumb. The pics I did get were with the P1100 on the "bird" setting, really meant for grounded, slow-moving birds, like the Saffron Finch I did catch nicely.
My favourite dog, Turi, posed for me. She is always grinning from ear to ear when I take her for the late-night walks (instead of 5am) along with the badly overweight Rocas. I can really see how much she misses me. We all get some needed exercise.
I caught another paraglider a second before he slid behind the cover of a tree... Hope he landed safely. Wolf was saying that they sometimes land in the sugar cane, then it is like a corn maze and they get lost...
Tonight, the Oilers play Winnipeg at 7:30pm and the Juniors play Denmark at 8:30. I sure hope both teams play to their potential.
So, time for a nap....
