After chores, since we had no workmen, I decided to try the Nikon P1100 zoom for a little test. On the bird setting, when you press the shutter it automatically takes 3 shots to account for movement. My shots of the pigeons were quite good, but my hummingbirds were awful. I will have lots of time to practice.
Then we went into Yulua to visit Cristina's Mom, Ana Julia. Since Cristina is again talking to her sister Adiela, it was nice to visit with husband Miguel as well. Poor Ana Julia is really frail, blind in one eye, but her mind is still very sharp. She watches the news every waking moment it seems. So we had a nice visit, a Stella Artois beer, and a wine cake dessert.
Then, surprise, surprise, Adiela drove us to La Herradura (Horseshoe) Mall and picked us up and drove us home later... We had a nice chinese food meal while there, and were still checking out the mattress stores. One place wanted $2,000 for a supersoft king....
Oh, we inherited yet another dog to babysit, a friendly little poodle named Duschi. I guess we have her until the 30th. So with our 13 dogs and 3 more, I worry about leaving them for any length of time. We play Christmas music for them when we are gone and it helps to keep them calm.
I hope you enjoy the pictures. That was the day’s excitement.
