I guess I didn't pray hard enough!  A big majority of moron Americans think the Orange Idiot Trump is the one to lead them for another 4 years.....  How stupid can you get???????  Fasten your seatbelts folks, it's going to be a rough ride for 4 years.....

In the past year all our water hoses have deteriorated due to misuse and poor storage.  Cristina went out and bought a 20 meter hose with nozzle and I went on Amazon and ordered a flexible 100 ft hose, proper hose hangers, and also broke down and ordered a Pressure Washer as well.   There are so many uses for it around here, especially the patio roof, walls and floor....

Carlos came around lunchtime and put lighter gunk around the new door in preparation for painting (I asked for the same colour for the frame, etc as the surrounding walls).

We discussed building me platform perch near the top of the back wall to allow me to take photos, especially the magnificent sunsets we get here....   A metal staircase may be coming...

Carlos fixed two digusting, dangerous, hanging kitchen electrical outlets.  I have to give the devil his due, his buckshee solutions usually seem to work out, despite all logic....

Carlos said he would return today, but didn't.   My diagram for the new platform awaits him....

So I amused myself cleaning up several messes in the backyard and storing wood and roof tiles and bricks for future uses....

Then I watered the roses and other bushes, which is to assure that we get rain tonight as predicted.  Another harbinger of a good storm is an unusually strong west breeze which we had all day today.

It is so nice to have Tom Thumb's regular visits too.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.

Tuesday November 5, 2024

Monday, Roger visited briefly to see the new backyard work, which now included a circle I began to dig perfectly, set aside for a new wood-burning firepit concrete pad.  I decided to get a standing firepit that would completely suit us, large, with a grill and spark screen.  We could have cheaped out and built something with bricks but that would have been bad for the dogs and hard to clean...

This is what we have ordered:

I am really looking forward to using this unit!

That night I watched 2 movies, Wild Robot and Twisters, and was pleased with both which are good for the whole family.

And, of course I had to play with the photos of that pretty singer, remove the background, enlarge decently, and apply new backgrounds of my making with a small silver-painted table flower ornament....

Today, Carlos and Carlos2 came to work and I got them going on my circular pad for the new firepit.  Carlos started it, then left Carlos2 to work on it.  Just before noon I was furious at the upcoming result and had Cristina call Carlos to come and finish it properly.  I no longer want Carlos2 working here.  He is unintelligent and does not listen to instructions.  And he smokes in my presence even though I have told him not to.

Carlos returned and finished the "circle" which is now closer to a rectangle and I am not a happy camper with any of their efforts, but that is what passes for workmanship here and I struggle to keep my mouth shut.  Grrrr

At 12:30 Cristina left for the doctor and returned at 6pm.  Carlos and Carlos2 left for lunch and Carlos promised to return to finish painting the new bedroom door.  He did not return....  Grrrrrr

I worked in the back moving dirt and rocks and debris to clear the back right corner and should really have worn my back brace.   I was sweating so bad and came into shower only to find that the water is shut off......   Grrrrrr

I saw two Tom Thumbs competing at the feeder but could never catch them in the 2 seconds of the battle.....

I also saw two of those gorgeous Yellow and Black Orioles but they were gone by the time I grabbed the Nikon.....  Grrrr

Niece Ana  is here to spend the night again as she will be working north of here in Zarzal again.

Oh, and I am praying for a landslide win by Kamala Harris over that complete moron Donald Trump!!!!!  What in the world has happened to voters in the 13 years since I went to South America?????  They have voted in idiots worldwide.......   Grrrrr

I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.
