My friend Oswaldo had invited us, and friends Mark & Karen, out to his acreage east of town in a place called Cuchubamba. Unfortunately Mark developed a stomach ailment so they were unable to come out and enjoy the late afternoon festivities.
Oswaldo had members of his family come out as well, a brother and family, and a sister with her husband.
What lovely people to spend time with, and in such a great setting. Oswaldo has built this entire place virtually by himself, with a main house, guest buildings, a treehouse, soccer field, a park, 2 bars, several entertainment areas, and he even has a mechanical bull!!
I honestly never thought that I would be silly enough to try it but I got shamed into it and it was an experience to feel like John Travolta in "Urban Cowboy".
Too bad we had to leave relatively early but we are headed to Guayaquil in the early morning by bus.
THANK YOU Oswaldo and family for such a great day that we won't soon forget.
