Monday, we spent a lot of time running around Government offices getting documents for a visa application. It is amazing that the bureaucracy works at all, but it does, eventually.... I wish I had had the guts to record the Ecuadorian police when we were asking for a police check. When they were himming and hawwing that it might take hours or days, it is amazing that a $20 bill in a side room had the process complete in 10 minutes..... Welcome to Latin America.
That allowed us to do a little sightseeing at night and then Tuesday morning before catching the bus back a noon.
I am not a fan of Guayaquil though, too big, dirty, hot and muggy for a prairie boy from Canada.
