Sunday, I continued processing the 310 wedding photos through PhotoShop on the laptop, taking about another 14 hours, while World Cup played in the background.
Monday, I spent another 14 hours processing mostly through Artspace Photo AI on the PC. I changed the backgrounds on many of the better photos to much better scenes than the busy chapel, dirty windows, parking lots, etc. I was so happy when I finally called it quits.
So after 3 days of 14 hours each of photo work, I really needed the rest.
Tuesday, I brought the photos to our secretary Adel on a memory stick and she was absolutely thrilled with my production. I hope that I never have to do that again....
I ran to the Library again, although I wanted to wait until 3 other books, supposedly "in transit", arrived as well. But the Canada Day holiday forced me to just pick up the 1 for now and return 2 others.
I got a bunch of emails from Amazon.com giving me back import duties on several items I had purchased while in Colombia...!! At first I though they were scam emails, but I checked my actual Amazon account and I definitely have money sitting there on a gift card!! Surprise, surprise!!
Today, after chores, I watched England beat the Congo at the World Cup before heading out to the Legislature grounds for Canada Day activities. The weather was a bit blustery and spitting rain so I didn't stay long, circling the grounds and seeing the ridiculous prices they wanted for food... But there were some cute sights.
I had re-installed my Canadian flag on the back of my Gio, atop the Alberta flag, and was wearing my Canada hat and t-shirt.
Near the front steps, I got stopped by a CTV camera crew, and they filmed me driving away with the 2 flags, so I will likely be on the newscasts here.
My friend, Lorraine, downstairs told me that Prime Minister Carney is in Edmonton today, but I doubt that I could get a chance to see him.
Tonight, weather-permitting, the fireworks start around 11pm, so I may make another outing...
