So I took the Gio to the Edmonton Elks (Eskimos) vs BC Lions CFL game for 7pm. It was a lovely evening with a nice breeze. I was kicking myself for forgetting my radio...
This game was a "Doggie Day" and there were all sorts of canines in the crowd, ....all extremely well-behaved.
The half-time show was a Dachshund Dash, with 3 heats and then a final heat. Gotta love these dashing doggies who surprised us with their speed. Everybody loved it!!
The game itself was fairly close. I had tried to get my cousin Jimmy from Langley to bet on his Lions, but he left it too late, and his Lions were losing, and giving the ball away 5 times..., so he declined....
Edmonton ended up squeaking it out 19-17 in the end. I had left Commonwealth Stadium with 2 minutes left and Edmonton had possession...., so I gambled that it would end that way and caught a pretty sunset shining off the downtown skyscrapers.
It has been a long, busy day. Only one hour of reading and I will be crashing for sure....
