Wednesday, we received the last book order for Louise from ThriftBooks. This package seemed very small, but she was happy to get her Jacqueline Susann favourites.
Don came down to watch hockey and brought a delicious lamb supper... The secret to cooking lamb is to slow-cook it. I supplied the potato salad.
I got word that my younger brother had to go to hospital in Regina with undetermined ailments. There is still no word on a final diagnosis and the likelihood is that he will stay there until at least Monday. If there was any way I could help , I would go right away.
All our teams lost Wednesday in baseball and hockey... Grrrr
I didn't accomplish much on Thursday except to do 3 orders to Amazon... I broke down and ordered privacy film for my lower windows, another car cam, a Roomba clone, Gorrilla Glue, and more....
Then we played cribbage again..
Today, I was up way too early because it was supposed to be a beautiful, albeit very windy, day. So I called my buddy KJ at his residence in Gibbons, and he was free, so I went for a drive and visited for an hour. KJ is 87 and living day-to-day and is very happy with his room and the food there. He and I have had a long history of friendship since 1979 with Lions Club International and glorious fishing trips... It is always good to visit old friends and shut-ins.
More hockey coming tonight, but I have little confidence that our Oilers are going to make a race of it this year with too many injuries and really poor game plans...
