Thursday June 20, 2024

Today (June 20) the summer solstice — the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere — will begin, and it will be the earliest solstice in 228 years, the earliest since 1796, the year in which George Washington issued his farewell address.

Monday night I went to bed at midnight and slept until 2pm Tuesday...  I have such a busy schedule, that I don't want to add things that could interrupt my sleep patterns, lol.

I continue to feed the birds, squirrels and rabbits, and read my book(s) while a movie or hockey is happening in the background.

Our Edmonton Oilers have awoken from their slumber and just may.....

Today niece Dawn picked me up after surviving a long wait in traffic for summer construction...   That is the old joke... we have 2 seasons, winter, and construction...

We actually went out to Evergreen Mobile Home Park to meet some friends of hers.  It brought back many memories of July 1987 and the Black Friday Tornado.

Today, I happened to speak to so many people suffering from so many ailments that I thank my lucky stars for my health (knock on my wooden head).

I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.
