Yesterday I made the return run to the Library to return the Bill Clinton/James Patterson book. And I found the outside book return (blocked off by sidewalk construction) for the next time I make a trip and the darn place is closed!
Yesterday was the birthday of my younger brother Germain who passed away in March. It is also the birthday of his daughter Becky.
And we watched a lot of sloppy Playoff Baseball.
Today is my sister Leonie's Birthday. Happy Birthday Sis!
This morning I was up much too early to get my flu shot. I passed on the Covid shot after my last experience where it took me about 18 months to get reasonable use of my left arm back again.. If my previous 6 Covid injections aren't enough, too bad...
The building secretary, Adel, put a really lovely heartfelt Thank You card in my mailbox for doing her photos Monday and Tuesday.
I don't know what possessed me to check the laundry room after, but my 2 favourite machines were free so I hurried and grabbed my dirty hamper and towels and got to work. I wore my back brace because of all the bending involved and it went really quickly . I have so many clothes that laundry is not one of my favourite chores and I can put it off for a long while.
Since I had passed on Wednesday Wings in favor of my salad, I was determined to have tonight's meal outside. The weather was really nice, so I called Bob and we decided to try a new place, Brewster's, not too far away. They had a Thursday fish'n'chip special and it is a good thing that we ordered the 2-piece offering, because the portions were woefully small, although we had a lot of French Fries with them. Their dessert menu was limited, so we decided to go for ice cream, passing up McDonald's to go to the Jasper Avenue Dairy Queen location. Bob had a cone and I had a small sundae, and we sat outside in the beautiful sunshine and people-watched...
Tonight we will see if the Yankees or the Red Sox will be our Blue Jays' next opponent in the playoffs.....
