Yesterday, I didn't do much except prepare for my trip Saturday.

My buddy Bob invited me for a huge roast beef  supper and I am sure glad I didn't say no, because Bob is a good cook.  He loaded me a plate that was good for two...

From there,I drove the Regal in the dark to Meadowlark Mall WalMart because they had a certain type of sunflower seeds with low sodium and with a good price.  I had ordered a bunch online for pickup and then fought online with them to maintain my order when they needed to substitute one batch.  What a schmozzle,... and then the drive was bloody awful with all our road construction everywhere, narrow lanes, closed off roads,... ugh!!!!!  I took an easier road back home....

Today, I was up early to do my chores and shower, etc, then I had a 3/4 hour nap before driving back up Highway 43 for my third funeral in a row there.  I was headed for Sangudo with lots of time, thankfully because I actually got lost twice, missing the town, then Waze sending me 9 kms out of town just to turn around to return to find the church... Sheesh!

RIP dear Eleanore Zotzman, whom I had known since 1968,  and a gentle soul who loved cooking and nature...  Our families were very close for decades and I was probably the last non-family friend to see her alive in hospital.

Again, I re-encountered some of their relatives that I had not seen in many, many years....

The return trip was uneventful.  I did take a few pics of the fall colours in spite of the dreary, drizzly day.  Pardon me for changing the sky on those pics, lol...

I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.
