Monday I actually went to the bank, finally closed an old account that I made sure had run its course, deposited US money that I was carrying around, and withdrew some cash for pocket money...
Then I spent $231.74 on groceries at Save-On Foods. Gosh, grocery prices are so scary when you can hardly buy anything under $7.
Tuesday morning, I re-arranged things at BitProGain, still hoping to get my money returned to my account. I wrote in a complaint to their Support line and got an almost immediate hissy-fit from the most recent guy I had been dealing with. He promised another fellow would call me in 20 minutes to make the transfer. It is now 26.5 hours and I am still waiting, but I am too tired to deal with that right now.
I got one Amazon delivery and then another on Wednesday which were gifts for my buddy Bob at his new apartment.... new doorbells and a door alarm.
Tuesday night I drove over to pick up Bob to watch the Oilers play here since his TV setup seems to block all the hockey games he likes to watch.... He liked my new IPTV which catches all the games...
Today I drove him in the afternoon to a doctor's appointment, then he bought us lunch at Wendy's. Then I gassed up at a station that was 10c a litre less than the others. Geez, $60 for 2/3 of a tank!
Bob was called to pick up a food hamper at the HIV center so we did that and returned to his place. He gave me over 1/2 the food hamper, food he does not use, or like, which I will then share with our mutual buddy Don upstairs.
I installed his doorbells and his door alarm for his security. He has a very large apartment but it is on the ground floor, next to the main door, in an area with a lot of transients. He is happy there, or is al least putting on a brave face because I can tell he is lonely and starving for company.
I am steaming up the place with a dutch oven full of water that depletes about 2 litres per hour, but my nose sure loves the moisture....
