-20C was too cold to go out Saturday, but I bundled up, went out in the late evening and scraped my car at -27C and almost could not get in, because the doors were almost frozen shut.... but I finally got in the passenger side and literally had to kick the driver's door open. The car even started and I let it run a little as I finished scraping and plugging in the block heater.
Imagine my surprise when I saw the odometer working for the first time and seeing that the Regal only has 175,000 kms on it! We had all been guessing around 225,000 until now....
The reason for my cold weather adventure was so that I could go out this morning, start the car (easily), scrape again, and head to the Queen Mary Market where the local IPTV people have a booth.
I had called them Saturday night to see if I could retain the use of my Amazon Firestick and the TiviMate platform that I had already renewed... We tried, but it would not accept it so I went whole hog and got their best Formuler system and paid for a whole year of IPTV.
I got home and fought with it for 4.5 hours before I phoned and asked for a home visit to finish the setup, which they did, and I paid them well for that. I still haven't got the full hang of working everything down pat yet, but it is close, and I have already saved most of my sports channels, and she even helped me to get the final chapters of the Yellowstone series, which I dearly love....
So I was able to watch the end of the Canadiens-Rangers game and give Bob the news because he was blacked out. I watched some UFC as well. This is really tough to beat for $15 a month once you get past buying the hardware... I have been waiting to do this since I went south in September...
It is supposed to warm up to -2C tomorrow, so I will likely go for groceries finally...
I hope you enjoy the pictures. That was the day’s excitement.

The hardware.... One of the rewards....
