I know this is delayed but I have a lot of photos to upload so I will do them in stages.
On Tuesday morning we joined Brian Gary and 30+ other folks for a fun trip to Montanita on the coast. Montanita is a surfing and party town, especially on the weekends, so this trip was purposely organized for weekdays so us old folks might get some sleep.
We had a nice drive through the Cajas mountain range, then a slow drive through Guayaquil. They blamed the extra 2 hours of the drive on the necessary pee breaks... Anyway, we arrived at this cheap hostal and had a room with 2 beds and a shower that was iffy at best, but we made do.
We checked out part of the local beach then joined everyone for a drive to supper in the country, which was a delicious fish and chips supper in a setting high above the beach.
When we returned to Montanita a few of us decided to check out the nightlife so we hit a noisy but mostly deserted disco. We lasted for a couple of beers then moved on. Next we went to a busy Salsa club and the scenery was very interesting. We worked up a sweat on the dance floor than got back after midnight and showered again.
We had to be up early to go whale-watching tomorrow so we crashed as quickly as possible.
NOTE that you may click on any photo for an ENLARGED VIEW.
Hope you enjoy the photos. That was the day's excitement, Cheers, Al

They spin it to the ground and you can scoop it up. |
