Monday May 27, 2013
We made a jaunt with Mom out to my sister Leonie’s acreage on the edge of the Rockies.   There was quite a large funnel-shaped rain cloud as we arrived.   Sorry that Google has messed up the order again.
Leonie's husband, Brian Lyttle, is a world-renowned knife-maker, see lyttleknives.com.
That was the day's excitement,   Cheers, Al

Rain cloud on the edge of the Rockies

This old hay mower has been out there forever

They have lots of old wagon wheels for decoration

New baby lambs are always a hoot to watch

They got pretty rambunctious when feeding so Mummy cut it short

This is Brian's horse Lippy

Lots of interesting things to shoot

Brian has quite a collection of old antlers lying about

Part of Brian's knife-making shop

This old wagon is still standing.

I tried something different with this shot

Those are Rockies peaks under the sides of this cloud

This wagon has weathered many a storm

I love this view to the Rockies

Mom, almost 97, with great-grand-daughter Emma

Teaching Emma to stick out her tongue.

Leonie, Yvette and Mom looking at Bryna's wedding pictures

I shot this off Leonie's laptop.  This is what Bryna calls their "engagement photo"

Brian is also a great cook so we stuffed ourselves.

Brian with his new pump Remington pistol

Brian's gifts to Bryna & Dan for their wedding

What a great cloud just in front of the Rockies

The Damascus steel blades are my favourite

Those are Elk ivory teeth embedded on the ends

This hawk was enjoying the sunset

The hawk watching the Rockies

Neighbor Ian Tyson comes to this old stone house on his property to write songs.

The storm cloud is dissipating

Leonie and Brian have had this view since the early 70's

Their place.  Daughter Nicole and family have the large house now.

These rain clouds always look so dangerous
