Because I will be gone in 6 weeks my cousin Jeanne invited me over for a Christmas supper, and I agreed to come over at 4pm.
I pulled into a liquor store 3 blocks away and, between the dual entry doors, they wanted me to scan my personal ID!! I looked at the guy through the glass and yes, he expected me to comply, just to buy a bottle of wine! If I was 16 years old, I could see this, but that place will never see me again.... I backtracked to another store close to home, got a nice bottle of red wine, and made it there exactly on time.
I am fortunate to get my doggie fix at Jeanne's with her old, but spry, doggie Suki... Suki even recognizes me now as a friend, and she gets enjoys getting lots of snuggle rubs....
Jeanne's condo is already well decorated for Christmas so it was very homey.... and we enjoyed the lovely chicken supper she had prepared, along with the wine, and we discussed many topics, but mostly centered on our family problems which seem unsolvable, unfortunately due to serious misunderstandings.
Jeanne always plays Stingray Easy Listening Music on her TV so I asked her if she would like to download my 824 Golden Oldies off the memory stick attached to my keys...?? She thought about it for a bit, then brought over her laptop and I managed to arrange it painlessly for her.
Then we looked at pictures while we sang along to the familiar music, and Jeanne knew the words to virtually every song as well. It was a fun night. Thank you Jeanne...
