Another long week of boring time...

Monday, was again spent watching our Oilers and movies while reading my book.

Then I helped out my cousin Jeanne to buy 2 more tickets to the upcoming saturday concery of the Chantamis french choral group.

Tuesday, they shut off our water all day because they are gutting and renovating 3 suites in our building, one at the end of my hallway.  So I decided to get up early and get out of Dodge...

I went to visit Bob and we went up to his 12th floor large recreation area and played a couple of games of 8-ball, then some shuffleboard.  This was quite hard on poor Bob so we went back to his suite, had some soup and relaxed.

I took him for his dental surgery appointment at 3pm and it took forever to get in, but he was done by 5pm.  We did a bit of necessary shopping and then I dropped him off.

I was visited by my Elks seatmate Lorraine who is tasked by the Manager here to provide a Tenant's Appreciation Night Nov 27, with supper, a dance band, silent auction, door prizes, etc.  She wanted to discuss doing a photo booth fundraiser so we bounced around a few options.  She has a large multi-coloured teddy bear to use as a prop, much like the one in the photo below that I did for a discussion point when we met again on Wednesday.

That morning I had gone to Staples and was surprised that I could get 4x6 photos printed for just 39c!  London Drugs wanted 59c....  So, I put ideas on paper for Lorraine to discuss with her committee...

Thursday was hibernation time as the temperatures drop to winter and snow levels...  And curling is back....

Today we actually have a little snow but that will likely melt very soon.  High 0C, low of -4C tonight is the forecast.   4C tomorrow...

My wife Cristina is getting tired of our waterfront property, where a decent pool of water forms after a good rain,.. which is often..  so now she has this bee in her bonnet. That lake breeds mosquitoes which are controlled by bats, dragonflies, and several birds,.. but are still a minor nuisance.  The bigger nuisance is all the mud the dogs drag into the house every time they venture outside to do their business.  Rio especially loves to swim in the water...

She has a neighbour across the street that has combatted the same problem and she is sure that he can fix it.  No doubt this will involve a pump and some piping to the front....  Our low spot is way at the rear of our large yard, so pumping uphill somehow will be necessary.  I asked her to wait until I arrive in 45 days or so, but she is determined to solve the problem now.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.  That was the day’s excitement.
