Today was all about waiting for the All-Canadian football sporting event of the year, the 112th Grey Cup, which was played in Winnipeg Stadium between the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Montreal Alouettes.
I was alone, ate supper at the beginning of the game, and actually enjoyed the half-time show with the band Machine Gun Kelly. And then there were the great commercials......
I did take more photos of the football game , really... but my download of the photos fouled up somehow and now I have to figure out why, before I have to trust my camera in 11 days to take photos of many of the residents.... I would be mortified if the download fouled up for that! I think I need to toss my existing memory card...
Anyway, the game was a happy one for us Westerners as Saskatchewan built a nice lead and hung on to win 25-17. Montreal gave a great battle and it was in doubt right until the last minute, so that is what the Grey Cup should be like... pure enjoyment!
I had spent $15 on 2 different Grey Cup pools, but I have to wait until tomorrow for them to post the winners.
A St Vincent de Paul volunteer contacted me about my donation and they will pick up my office chair and monitor on Monday.
