Tuesday, I cleaned the interior of the Regal and took it to Hughes for a hand wash and wax. Once home, I ordered two more fans on Amazon.
Wednesday, my new AC unit arrived at 6pm so I worked carefully to install it, then the instructions said to wait 24 hours for everything to settle before operating, so I had to wait...
Thursday, I took the Regal back to Central Tire to get the rear disc brakes done. Also I succumbed to the expert opinion to steam off the engine to look for any leaks. I had hesitated to do this because of the thinking that that might remove old gunk holding back leaks... But Sean called to say that they had left it running for 40 minutes after the deep cleaning and there appears to be no leakage!!! The instruction is to drive it for a bit and they will re-inspect again for free. It sure is nice to have a trustworthy mechanic close by! I hope that I have dodged the bullet regarding leaks....
Now I am waiting impatiently for my order of automotive accessories and supplies from Temu.
It cooled down so much on Thursday that AC was certainly not needed but I did check out the AC unit after 6:30pm. It is much more forceful than expected, and I used only the fan setting overnight.
Today, I was up late and missed the first hour of the opening ceremonies of the Paris 2024 Olympics, missing the boat with the Canadian contingent going down the Seine, so I stole three team photos from Facebook for you.
I was so proud to see our cousin Celine Dion recovered enough to sing forcefully the closing song from the Tour Eiffel to close the ceremonies. Go Canada Go!!!!!
I hope you enjoy the pictures. That was the day’s excitement.
