I got up late again and slowly did chores as I ached a little until taking some painkillers then all was right with the world again.
I cut my own hair again, which I swear is beginning to grow back...!! I think it is because I have begun to use a little of my Vaseline Intensive Care Aloe Cream on my hair to hold it from sticking up..!! Hey,... whatever works,.. right??!!!
It got up to 26C today, so I was not going to stay inside. My Amazon package of D5600 camera batteries arrived while I was in the shower so that was a thing off my mind. I grabbed the Nikon D5600 and got on my Gio and headed south in my t-shirt and shorts. I expected to see some sunbathers in the parks, but was disappointed.
When I got on Whyte Avenue and passed 106 St, I had a thought, and came back to head further south 29 blocks to visit the grave of my brother Lucien and his wife Kaye. It is so hard to believe that he has been gone almost 66 years, and Kaye 7 years already. I still remember the day in August 1958 when Father Yandeau came to the door with the news that he had been electrocuted in Ontario in a pipeline accident.
Nothing much was happening on Whyte Ave so I came back on the east side of the High Level Bridge and went on the Legislature grounds. I can't wait until Ellis Don Construction gets finished with the amphitheatre and other changes to the north side.
I ran into Bob on the way back in the building and he asked if I wanted some of his stew. I was so hungry by then that I came straight up with a container. Every spoonful had a piece of steak, so it was delicious! Bob was also getting compliments on how cool his place was, because the AC unit that I gave to him is working very well!!
The Aurora Borealis is supposed to be strong for the next 3 nights, so I am trying to finagle a ride outside of the city somehow... I just called Brenda, and she is game to try it tonight... Wish me luck!
I hope you enjoy the pictures. That was the day’s excitement.
