Monday, my neighbour Gary across the corridor had me order 6 golf shirts for him via Temu. He will pay me when they arrive.
Tuesday, I got my Temu own package of a few items for comfortable seating and sleeping. So far, I am quite impressed with Temu except on the delivery side....
I finished one DeMille book and started the other, so I had to put the next 2 final ones of this John Corey series on hold at the Library for later pickup.
And it snowed,........... again............ We really would prefer April showers.
Wednesday, I did another long day working on kids' photos before watcing UFC and our Oilers while reading the next book. The Oilers are in the playoffs so they just coasted to another loss.
Today, I had paid $5 to go on a bus excursion to the River Cree Casino in the west end, so the bus picked up 18 of us, including Bob and Don at 10am. The Casino gave us a $5 voucher to start gambling and a delicious free lunch as incentives. I went outside to take photos of the place and almost froze in the hard, cold wind. Everybody was saying the place was HUGE, but I guess they have not been to Las Vegas.... It did not take much time to walk around the whole place, so I was mostly bored with it and had to wait until 2:30pm to return.
Of course, I missed a Temu delivery of t-shirts for Bob...
Bob, I think was down $3,000, his friend Chris was up $2,000, and the rest of us only spent a little. I only spent $25 of my own money and saved $5 to tip the driver, like the most of us did. Instead of wasting more money in those crooked machines, I went and bought lottery tickets for probably the first time since 2011, using the set of numbers that I had used continuously since about 1980. Frankly, those numbers were never lucky for me, but I used them for the 6-49, Lotto Max, and the Western, with the Plus. Wish me luck... maybe the time has come....
