Well, the speculation in my last Blog 6 days ago was optimistic! This week, we have had sun, mid-teenC temps, but a cool wind. Coming up we are told is more snow, now delayed until Tuesday. If you don't like the weather, wait 15 minutes.
Monday, I made copies of my new GIS forms to fill in for the Government which require Cristina's signature. I also signed up for a tour with our social club to River Cree Casino on the 19th. I don't gamble, but the outing sounds interesting.
Bob and his big mouth are making me the go-to guy to order clothes and stuff on Temu for residents. Then Bob himself said the golf shirts that we ordered him shrank in the wash, so he sold them to Gary who lives across from me. Then we ordered him more nice t-shirts in "plus" sizes..
KFC had a 2-piece $2.99 special on Tuesdays and I went online to order, and the @##$$^^&* restrict a person to only 2 orders! I wanted to get 6 orders to keep on hand, so they can go pound sand.
Wednesday, I actually filled in the GIS forms to be ready to go. I had Bob over for lunch and then I worked hard on photos for the afternoon. Evenings are for watching hockey and reading my DeMille books.
Thursday, I was up real late but made my favourite meal to last me 2 days,.. fried hamburger, mashed potatoes, corn, with buttered bread.. Totally yummmmyyyyy.... And I finished my DeMille books so I went to swap for 2 more on Friday at the Library.
I dropped off the GIS forms at Canada Place Service Canada rather than mail them, then went downstairs to Mister Donair and bought 3 beef regulars to go. Then it was off to Save-On for my bi-weekly grocery run.
The Oilers lost another critical game while I got deep into my latest DeMille book. Love this John Corey series!
Today, two friends had milestone birthdays, aged 60 and 85... Happy Birthday Dawn and Keith!
Two of my Temu orders came at 8:26am and I just went back to bed before opening them later when I was more awake. I must give credit to their photographers for their online sales. Everything looks so appealing and large..... but reality is something else....
Bob had been having foot problems, fearing that he had contracted gangrene again, but the doctor calmed him down and gave him antibiotics. He didn't want to cook and be on his feet, so I brought him a donair and heated it for him. I also brought him one of the motion-sensor strip lights which we put above his closet door.
I was getting cabin fever and needed to get out again before the weather downturn, so I slipped on a hoodie and jumped on the LRT at the corner, and rode 2 lines that were new to me, to NAIT and to Millwoods. I took a few photos as proof, of course. People were even out golfing.
Bob just called and he did decide to heat some lasagna, so I will be heading there for a quick supper...
I hope you enjoy the pictures. That was the day’s excitement.
