This evening was my first brave attempt at taking dance lessons in many, many years.  I didn't quite freeze up like I usually do, but it was still an ordeal.  We were learning some basic foxtrot steps which is somewhat like a backward two-step but one of the steps doesn't flow well for me yet, I find it real awkward.
The Cuenca Dance Club, run by David Naccari, has lessons Thursdays from 7-8pm at the Eucalyptus Cafe upstairs.   Then there is an open dance from 8-10pm downstairs.  Good people, good music, and good beer = a good time.

NOTE that you may click on any photo for an ENLARGED VIEW.
Hope you enjoy the photos.  That was the day's excitement,   Cheers, Al

David is waiting for more students

Do you think the artist is against bullfighting?

This young fellow played as well downstairs

Another anti-bullfighting canvas.

Registering for the dance class

Waiting for it to start

As usual, women outnumber the men

The young fellow would croon 3-4 songs at a time

All kinds of dance steps

Everybody got up and danced

Gettin' down to the music

Doing the Electric Slide

That is one of the better line dances

David was active getting people on the floor

This was another line dance

There are some accomplished dancers in this group

Lots of class and style.....
