Happy Fall Solstice everyone!
Friday, I drove the 5 hours back from Falher and, even though I was tired, I worked on the family photos and sent them to the principals who forwarded them on to more family.
And, my Grandson has decided on two of my horse artworks to grace the walls of their new condo, so I sent those off as well. Of course I am thrilled to have been asked to do that.
Saturday, Bob came by after getting his steering on his Gio Tron tightened up at the dealer, so the steering is not as positive and scary.
I slipped out on my Gio to the Library to get the latest James Patterson/Bill Clinton (married to cousin Hillary) called The First Gentleman, in large print, which is OK by me, lol....
Then I hit Dollarama for peanuts and more junk before going to Bob's to enjoy some pork fried rice he had cooked up deliciously.. We watched our Blue Jays struggle again, but they won on Sunday, so they have not entirely lost their touch.
Sunday I did not do much, other than rest, and play cribbage downstairs where the cold air made me quit when we were up 3 games to 2. I tend to get quite cold easily now.
Today, I went to Save-On and spent $203 on groceries... and replenish my larder. Meat is almost out of reach now pricewise.... Grrrr
Then I confirmed which picture my cousin Rosalie wanted me to print and send to her, and headed to Staples. I had a huge photo printed, paid, and headed to the Post Office 5 blocks away. As I approached the lot, the wind caught my bag and threw it into an SUV behind me, and he ran over it the print, damaging it... Grrrrrr
I went in to the Post Office first to find out what size of a stiff envelope I could safely and reasonably send, and bought the largest, before returning to Staples and getting a slightly smaller version printed to fit the envelope perfectly. The lady at Staples gave me a break on printing the second one, so I was happy. The package is now on its way to Moose Jaw.
Bob came over here because my IPTV was able to catch the preseason game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Montreal Canadiens. He really hates to miss any games involving Montreal and TSN had blacked it out in our area. I can catch it on the NHL channel or the Montreal channel.
And while I was wandering around Staples, I got to thinking about purchasing a more potent computer monitor to show my photos at their best.... Stay tuned...
I hope you enjoy the picture. That was the day’s excitement.
