Saturday March 29, 2014
There will be 2 posts today.
This morning I went to La Crea, a horse facility near Las Americas and Mexico, for a horse jumping competition.  They actually started on time which is unheard of in Ecuador so I missed the first go-around.  I lasted from 9:30 to almost 1pm before my legs were giving out.
I was surprised to see a few Gringos that I knew among the parents of the young riders and then a few more showed up as spectators.
These horses are beautiful athletes and a genuine pleasure to watch.  I still cringe when they leap over the barriers and land on those skinny front legs first, but they somehow manage to do it without injury.  The riders were quite skilled, even the youngsters and there were only a couple of mishaps on the afternoon.
I must have taken 350+ photos today and kept these 100.
Hope you enjoy the photos.  That was the day's excitement,   Cheers, Al
