When we get a nice day, 25C and sunny, we must get out and enjoy...
After chores and toilette, I jumped on the Gio to the Library to return 5 books, and pick up 3 more Kathy Reichs books. I was hoping a 4th would be ready as well, but no, ... and, of course, it is the next one in the series to read in order.... Drat...
The "Works" Festival was happening now in Churchill Square, so I did a quick tour. Apparently people are supposed to sign or doodle on the manequins, but I am not into that. Plus, there was very little of any interest.... And I slid by the legislature on the way home...
I was back in time to watch Canada play badly for 80% of the game and expect to win against Switzerland at the World Cup. Our coach waited way too long to make good subsitutions and we lost 2-1, but we do move on to the next round,... which is a first....
Then I had the hard decision to make salad or go back out in the sunshine for Wednesday Wings... Sunshine won and I went to 2 of my favourite places. But Hudson's have raised their prices 66% to $10, and the Pint wanted $9..... I passed on both.
One of the residents told me before I left that No Frills had T-bone steaks for $11 lb, and showed me the huge size of them. Naturally, they were sold out before I got there....
And I didn't feel like running to On The Rocks for $8 wings, so I came home and made my salad..... Oh well.........
