Monday March 25/13
We took a bus trip to northwest Cuenca to get some local colour at the edge of the Cajas and then a few skyline shots.
That was the day's excitement,   Cheers, Al

We are at the northwest edge of Cuenca

Just a few fields between us and the Cajas range

These trees were tall and gorgeous

Do you envy us now?

What a gorgeous day before the thunderstorm

Lots of corn being grown here

Follow the path

Maybe there's a baseball diamond in there

Gorgeous views abound

Gosh I love it here

What's not to like...??

The temperatures are comfortable year-round

No shortage of food here

Not too sure if these are apples or not

Rustic old homes catch the eye

Old church and a school for this neighbourhood barrio

Little girl reaching for something on the clothesline

A cat watching us lazily

Beautifully tended yard

Wake up and smell the flowers

A view to El Centro and Immaculate Conception's blue domes

From above Catolica U

Restricted angles to shoot

Nestled in the Andes

We feel safe here

A World Heritage Site

Different construction

Spanish colonial influence

Neat things throughout the city

Thunderstorm rolling in

Gotta love brick here

Magnificent view of El Centro

Couldn't stop shooting

So many ways to capture the beauty

This is Cuenca!
