Ooops, been a while again, hasn't it....
I did not win a cent of the millions available in the 6-49 draw.... So much for signs from wherever....
Last Thursday I went to the library and got 2 Ken Follett books while waiting for a popular Lee Child "Jack Reacher" book where I am still #15 waiting for 1 of 3 copies... Drat. And I watched parts of 3 hockey games, and sadly our Oilers are really struggling of late.
Friday was the US retail blackout day so I stayed in and did the usual book reading while watching sports.
Saturday I picked up Bob for an outing and went to pick up some small fasteners for a small repair I need to do to the car. Then Bob wanted to try shopping at Superstore and we were mildly impressed with that experience.
I spent a lot of time reading and stayed up until Sunday 1am to watch the MotoGP race live from Thailand. My guy, Marc Marquez, is back in his old aggressive form, and he won, followed by his brother!
I was in communication from my Serbian buddy, Igor, who lives in Thailand to see if he was at the race, but it turned out he was visiting our friend Irma in Johannessburg, South Africa! He is intending to return to Thailand then make his was to Mongolia by motorcycle. I wish I had the means to go with him....
Monday, I did a lot of reading and I was unaware that my car was entered by a thief, at 11:28pm and the surveillance video shows that I had inadvertently left my doors unlocked. This thief had tried every driver's side door in the lot, and had entered 3 cars.
So, this morning, when I went to fire up the Regal I saw that my car cam was gone and my papers were all strewn on the floor. Luckily, it was a crime of opportunity and no damage to my doors or windows, which certainly would have cost me more. Alsso missing are prescription glasses (why?) and a small carpet knife, and maybe other small unimportant items.
I took Bob to his TD bank to apply for a small loan to pay off Don, while I went to my CIBC to re-arrange things and again open a new account because the last one was touched by the scammers too, dirty buggers....
I stopped at Bob's to drop him off and took photos of his Gio which he wants to sell because it is too big for his new apartment.
I then went to Canada Place and the Service Canada office to again change my account information for depositing my pensions... I was assured that the information is installed in good time.
I went to the Library, dropped off the 2 Ken Follett books and picked up another. I have been only taking 2 or 3 days to polish off a book lately.
I came back home and changed the bank information for my insurance withdrawal as well, and then for my rent downstairs, and confirmed that my phone bill comes off my debit card. Then I changed my account at Revenue Canada again too. Hopefully there will be no glitches.
I made a sign for downstairs to help sell Bob's Gio and put out the word to a few people. Later I will advertise it online.
I stopped by the office and the manager and I looked at the footage from the various surveillance cameras, found the offender, whi is pretty slick with his clothing and covering his face, so the footage is pretty useless unless the police would recognize his M.O. or his gait. I started to call the police but realized I would just be wasting my time... Live and learn...
So, today has been busy..... And I don't seem to be much in a photography mood of late....
I hope you enjoy the pictures. That was the day’s excitement.
